ROLEX SUBMARINER 5510

5510_1

As is well known, the reliability and quality of the Rolex has meant that, over the years, the pentastar brand has been chosen by many well-known personalities, whose names have been associated with the products worn, giving these watches additional value in terms of exclusivity.

We present today the Submariner Coroncione 5510.
"Coroncione" is synonymous with James Bond. In fact, actor Sean Connery, as Agent 007, wore this very model in the film "License To Kill." Ian Fleming, creator of the famous British spy, himself owned a watch Rolex and it is likely to believe that this influenced him in choosing the timepiece for his mythical character.

It is thought that the watch in question was a Rolex 6538, also called a "coronet" and thus with the same distinguishing feature as ours Rolex 5510: the large size of the winding crown and time remittance.
In our case, however, differences such as the caliber 1530 mechanism (1030 in the case of the model 6538) and the fact that the watch was produced for only one year (1959 to be exact), make it the rarest coronet ever made.

We enclose a photo of the watch and a graph showing the trend in value over the various years, showing the original cost, highlighting today's consideration and the considerable revaluation.

The standard model of the watch in question, starting from a cost of about 100,000 Liras in 1959, corresponding to today's purchasing power of €1,363.62, has reached a value of €100,000 to date, a figure about 73 times higher than the initial one. This shows the great revaluation and thus the great investment this watch has made.
