ROLEX 6241 STEEL "CHERRY LOGO"

6241-charry_1b

Produced from about 1965 to 1969, the Rolex 6241 steel "Cherry Logo" features a black graduated bezel and pump buttons.
As previously illustrated in the articles on the Vintage Rolex hand-wound movement, this watch is also equipped by the "Valjoux" machinery, as good as the parent company could find at that time.

In 1965 the words "Daytona" on the dial, destined to become an icon of world watchmaking. In this very year, at the start of production of the Rolex 6241, on very few dials can be seen the inscription Daytona in red: from this peculiarity, which is extremely rare, comes the name "Cherry" attributed to the watch.

In the collecting environment, we know that early and late production watches have a higher value.
In this case, in addition to being an early production example of the Rolex 6241, with a case with serial 1.5 million, we also have a dial of extreme rarity, on which stands out the inscription Daytona red.

As described earlier, watches today are one of the best investments the market can offer. For us enthusiasts, this is compounded by the pleasure of being able to study them, gleaning all that they pass on to us, a rich past history of time.

We enclose a photo of the watch and, as is our wont, illustrate with a graph the trend in value over the various years, showing the cost that the item originally had and the price that corresponds to today; we also point out how much it has revalued over the years.
A standard model of the watch in question cost about 120,000 Lire in 1965, corresponding to today's purchasing power of € 1241.15. As of today it has reached a value of € 80,000/120,000, a figure about 96 times higher than the initial initial Euro price.
This shows the great revaluation and thus the great investment made by this watch.
