Paris hosted, from February 5 to 9, 2025, an event that increasingly proves to be a must-attend event for the world of vintage haute horology: Time on Show.
Inserted within Rétromobile, the famous show dedicated to classic cars, the event attracted collectors, experts and enthusiasts from every corner of the planet, turning the Ville Lumière into the capital of collectible watchmaking.
The turnout was extraordinary: internationally renowned dealers, longtime collectors and ordinary enthusiasts crowded the spaces of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, creating a crossroads of exchanges, discussions and business that celebrated the art of watchmaking in all its nuances. Not just a commercial event, but an authentic salon where vintage watch culture found one of its highest expressions.
The selection of exhibitors made all the difference: Bonanno Watches, Amsterdam Vintage Watches, Alessio Zenga, Cacciari and Salvati, Caso Watches, De Simone Vintage Watches, Lema, Monaco Legend Group, Vintage Times Collective and WatchPrint presented the public with iconic pieces, true masterpieces that tell the story of time measurement. Among the stands, rare watches, vintage movements and sought-after references caught the eyes and aroused the desire of discerning collectors and new enthusiasts.
Great success also for the prestigious Riva Lounge, curated by Riva Classiche, which added a touch of exclusivity to the event. In a refined environment, visitors were able to relax surrounded by the timeless elegance of Riva motorboats, symbols of Italian craftsmanship and style.
Bringing prestige and authority to the event was the vision and experience of three key figures in the industry: Pier Luigi Santi, an entrepreneur and event expert in luxury and automotive, shaped Time on Show into a global reference point; Auro Montanari, aka John Goldberger, collector and watchmaking historian, contributed his immense knowledge and expert eye; and Paolo Borgomanero, luxury entrepreneur, brought his sensitivity to beauty and craftsmanship, distinctive elements of the world of collectible watchmaking.
The enthusiasm generated by the Paris edition of Time on Show confirms that the passion for vintage haute horlogerie is not only alive, but growing. The positive sentiment that characterized the event portends an increasingly bright future for the industry, with collectors and enthusiasts ready to discover new chapters in this timeless story.
Now eyes are on the next stage: Bologna, in October, will host the third Italian edition of Time on Show, but other dates and new international scenarios are not ruled out. The journey into the universe of vintage haute horology continues.
