As is well known, the search on the part of Rolex has always been aimed at finding the best that could be offered, and in this article we will describe in a few lines the history that has led to making the pentastyle brand a guarantee, talking about chronographs and in particular the Rolex 4313 rose gold.
Until the late 1990s, the choice of mechanism used in chronographs saw the triumph of the Valijoux, from the well-known Swiss house. This preference was the result of careful evaluations and continuous modifications, aimed at constant improvement in quality and function. Indeed, in the first watches one finds movements with lower alternations (oscillations of the balance), which increase over the years to give the possibility of reading a more fractionated time and thus closer to the real one, approaching the precision of today's quartz chronographs.
The first chronograph Rolex was the 2021, a single-pusher with an important-sized case and hinged case back, of which I was able to appreciate firsthand the splendid workmanship typical of the pentastyle brand.
The house has since produced many chronographs, sometimes with small differences, managing to maintain over the years the same quality standard of extreme reliability.
The Rolex chronograph 4313 rose gold from 1954 (serial 999 thousand) is a wonderful watch moved, like all early chronographs, by a splendid Valijoux 23 with 18000 alternations.
The characteristic shapes of the spider lugs make this object a true work of art that, thanks to reevaluations over the years, boasts considerable added value.
