It traces the characteristics of the Cosmograph 6239 except for the newly designed bezel. In fact, the bezel is made in two bodies, one being the outer metal ring in which the second body, namely a black acrylic insert with the tachymeter scale printed in white, is housed.
Experts indicate no more than 2,000 pieces for steel cases and around 400 pieces in yellow gold divided between 14kt and 18kt.
One of the main features of this reference is the introduction of the new Valjoux caliber 722.
The steel watch is initially introduced to the market with a silver dial with black contrasting subdials or black with silver contrasting subdials, while for gold the two colors are champagne with black subdials and black with champagne subdials.
Later it is also released with an exotic dial, known as the famous Daytona Cosmograph Paul Newman.
