In 1965, Rolex created a new member of the Cosmograph Daytona family by introducing the reference 6240.
Made exclusively of stainless steel, the watch possessed an acrylic bezel to display the tachymeter.
It was the first "Daytona" wristwatch equipped with screw-down chronograph buttons to provide better water resistance.
In particular this Rolex Daytona 6240 was produced in 1966, a watch in excellent condition.
