Patek Philippe's 175th anniversary is celebrated with the creation of limited edition commemorative pieces Folding clasp engraved "PATEK PHILIPPE 1839 - 2014." From October 13 to 18, 2014, Patek Philippe celebrated its 175th anniversary. The events of the historic celebration took place at the Patek Philippe manufacture in Geneva, Plan-Les-Ouates. On this occasion, Patek Philippe presented the 175th collection of limited edition commemorative watches and a collection dedicated to the 175th collection of Rare Handcrafts watches. This is a Patek Philippe 175th Anniversary Chronograph 5975G-001 in 18K white gold. It has an alligator leather strap with a unique white gold deployment clasp, and the round clasp is engraved with "PATEK PHILIPPE 1839 - 2014" and with a Calatrava cross engraved in the center. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a removable winding crown, and rectangular multiscale chronograph pushers; the pusher at 2 o'clock starts and stops the chronograph and the pusher at 4 o'clock resets it to zero. There is a solid snap-in case back engraved with "PATEK PHILIPPE GENÈVE - 175TH ANNIVERSAIRE - 1839 - 2014." The solid 40mm three-body case, fluted lugs and angled bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is off-white opaline, with faceted white gold "boat" baton hour markers applied around one minute/fifth of a second. It has gold dauphine hands, a central blued constant-seconds chronograph hand, and a concentric triple-ring tachymeter scale to 1000 UPH. On the outside is a rangefinder graduated to 200 kilometers, and the perimeter has a 15-beat pulsometer scale, allowing a physician to measure a heartbeat in ¼ of the time. It has a power reserve of 55 hours and is water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 10.8 mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
